PCR Testing for COVID-19
At our clinic, we offer PCR tests, which use Nasopharyngeal swabs.
At our clinic, we offer PCR tests, which use Nasopharyngeal swab (a long soft-tipped nasal swab). This is called as molecular tests, using this nasal swab, are highly accurate and reliable compared to the tests which collect your saliva sample. Collecting saliva by spitting into a tube container seems much easier than the tests with nasal swabs, however, when gargling or eating and drinking flued prior to the testing are taken place, the amount of collected saliva will not be enough to show accurate data. Also, it takes a while for virus to get into your system to multiply and secreted into your saliva, it might show the test result as ‘negative’ when it is positive because the sample only shows the detection of virus at the time of collection.
We will issue the certificate of test result only when your test result shows ‘negative’. You can take influenza tests at your request, along with this molecular test when you obtain the national health insurance.
